DLC is a fine way to add in new features and extend a game’s shelf life. Tetris 99 has made excellent use of DLC that actually feels worthwhile. More than anything, fans just want to know that Mario 35 won’t just be abandoned after its brief release window is over. DLC and continued support isn’t an outrageous expectation.
Tetris 99 might honestly be the most enjoyment I’ve yet to have out of the Battle Royale genre. Out of all the Battle Royale’s Tetris 99 has arguable the lease flaws. What I love most about this game is how short the wait and matches last. It usually takes about 1 minute for the game to start and it is likely over for me in the first 5 minutes but the entire game lasts for about 10 minutes.

I’ve always been a big fan of Tetris games and something about the competitive aspect of playing Tetris with 98 other people is very interesting to me. While you can actively compete with others in the game I find that just hoping into a game and playing it like it’s normal Tetris just with some added challenge is very enjoyable. And the added benefit of this being on the switch means that I can just pick up the switch off the dock and just play a few rounds of Tetris quickly and easily is very relaxing for myself.
