In classrooms in much of the world the countdown to summer holidays is on! To help you get through the final weeks of the school year, we’ve asked our Showbie Champions for their tips on how to finish the school year strong.
“I like to print one or two journal pages for each kid to take home (1st and last) it is a great way to show parents growth and a nice keepsake.”
“Our students are now revising for the end of Year Exams and I requested them to share Learning Strategies and Strategies on how to remember specific Grammar topics in German in the Class Discussion.”
“Set up a Showbie group specifically for organizational matters – such as for a job share or teaching assistant- allows all those little messages that are traditionally written on scraps of paper to be available in one place…saving precious time.”
“Also, I suggest creating a class just to store video and photos, saving localized storage on iPad and making all your images easily shared when copying to a different destination file.”
“I like to have students reflect on their year, using Showbie. Students have the option of making a video, recording their voice or reflecting on a recording sheet of how they have grown as a learner throughout the school year and what goals they would set for themselves in the upcoming year.”
“Showbie is also a great place to use an end of year checklist. Once students have turned in assignments, organized their cubbies/area, finished a project they mark it as complete to help stay organized!”
We know how hard teachers work and hope you have relaxing, enjoyable vacations planned!
